PUBLIC ADMINISTRATIONISTS AND DEVELOPMENT

Public administrationists (civil servants) are entrusted to execute the will of political class to deliver results though the laws are passed by the legislators. Public accountability and responsibility is there on the parts of civil servants as the money allotted and responsibilities assigned to civil servants is by the Parliament only. The difference between public and private administration is seen on many fronts the main is between the profit motive and welfare outlook. Public administration considers welfare work first than profit motive and opposite is true for private administration.

The public administration is public in nature and sees welfare motive first than private administration. The public administrationists are champions of poor and downtrodden and since India is a developing country the poor and marginalized are in majority. It is the responsibility of the public administration to ensure that the fruits of development reach to the poorest of the poor.
