OUR GLORIOUS 73RD REPUBLIC DAY

Today we are celebrating our 73rd Republic Day. On this day of 26 Jan 1950 our constitution was commenced and we became a republic. The constitution came into force and India also became a union of states which confirmed no power on the part of states to cecede from the union, and hence declared India as an indestructible union with destructible states. The separation of powers made it a federation as with other federations of the world including Canada, America, and Australia among others. Today we commemorate the sacrifices of our countless leaders, soldiers, scientists, educationists, researchers and above all the people of this great nation who remained always ready to give whatever they have for the growth and prosperity this our great nation.

Since independence and enforcement of constitution India has excelled in all spheres including science and technology, research, education, sports and all spheres of social and political development and has emerged as a strong nation worldwide. After remaining into the grip of slavery for nearly 200 years, India has learned the lesson to be always ready to sacrifice for independence and liberty. The country will always be strong if the constitution is enforced “as it is” and more specifically the Preamble which is the spirit of the constitution.
