BRIDGING INEQUALITIES AND CREATING A JUST SOCIETY

India is largest democracy in the world and have opted for parliamentary form of government, where the executive comes from the legislature. It remains the prime motive of the government and its ambition to establish a just and egalitarian society for all human development. If the spirit of inclusive growth is strengthed and if money goes to all sections of the society, irrespective of their religion, caste, language, sex or place of birth among others, then the society becomes a better place to live.

The approach of the government in meeting the motive of inclusive growth has been two folds: the government is trying  to bring in trickle down effect and secondly, the government has started various schemes in the direction of poverty alleviation and financial empowerment of the poor and marginalized. In both the cases the government has not yet reached to a satisfactory level rather the index of inequality that is showing that inequality is expanding over the years in Indian economy. The government needs to bring in some more innovative ideas with the help of public participation to bring down this inequality and to make a just society for all.
