ELON  MUSK AND TWITTER

Quite recently the richest person of the world has proposed to buy twitter. Into this era of social media, the recognition of twitter and its acceptance is beyond doubt. So many accounts of renowned personalities round the world are on this social media platform that includes politicians, writers, film makers, actors, scholars among others. On to this platform there is status symbol too.

Buying of twitter may not be a wise decision towards capital gains but the reason that is quoted is to protect “freedom of expression”, which the constitutions of the world have given into their respective constitutions which is not absolute. The state can put reasonable restrictions over its citizens. The civil services and the governments need to think – whether freedom of expression, if brought under private administration, how long it can survive? It also needs to formulate adequate laws in the same direction as to how to regulate freedom of expression.
