CHALLENGING ROLE OF EXECUTIVES AFTER COVID-19

Bureaucracy of any country fulfills the aspirations of political leaders in a democracy. Bureaucracy is part of executive which is headed by a minister in the parliamentary form of government, which India has adopted.  Officers are the building blocks of executive and are entrusted in the task of creating new legislation through the process of delegated legislation,  and the execution of  laws. The framers of the constitution have tried to bring in the maximum possible separation of executive from the judiciary to bring in quality of justice. For this they have inserted article 50 in the Directive Principles of State Policy (DPSP) in our constitution.

Post covid-19 the executives all the world are facing new challenges considering the novel and unpredictable character of corona virus. The officer class is managing its affairs amidst dangerous corona virus. The executives (officers) are finding innovative ideas to manage the affairs of public and the affairs of the state. The biggest examples are organization of our festivals like deepawali, chhat puja,  ganesh chaturthi among others at national level and organizing G20 summit, COP-26 summit,  BRICS summit,  BIMSTEC summit and ASEAN summit among others at the international level.

The competent officers selected by Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) every year along with their rigorous training module  are competent enough to give a befitting reply to any adversities that the country or the world faces or is about to face. Time is tough but let us not loose hope of bringing a v-shaped recovery to our economy and settling of issues at the national and international level. Our officers (IAS IPS IFS IRS and other PCS officers) are the pride of nation and their consistent and untiring efforts to the development of the nation is unprecedented. Our country is gaining new heights even after global pandemic by their consistent efforts and participation of the public.
