SOCIAL HARMONY AND PREAMBLE OF OUR CONSTITUTION

Quite frequently the government, non government and social institutions direct us to maintain social harmony sidelining all problems that might have created those problems.  But how to establish that ‘social harmony’ is not suggested by anyone.  One simple way to eradicate all social evils was very well envisaged and understood by our constitution makers. They have made a special reference to this in our preamble itself, which is the very beginning of our constitution.

If the preamble is also followed like a religion then all social problems are bound to go away. It gives us all justice, liberty, equality and fraternity. Getting the understanding of the soul of the preamble all socio-economic and politico-cultural problems can be finished and India can gear up the process of development at a higher pace.  The problem is that we even don’t want to understand the essence of constitution and constitutionalism. If the spirit of preamble prevails in everyone’s heart in our country it can bring the socio-economic and politico-cultural order in a single go. If we understand preamble and live it, we can make our country a better place to live.  In order to do so we have to start from the very beginning of the constitution that is the preamble which embodies the solutions to all social-economic and politico-cultural problems that ever existed and are still existing into this largest democracy of the world. So, it is high time to understand the preamble and get the preamble into our minds and behavior wherever we live and go into this country.
